Pre-Christmas hustle and bustle at Brunnenmarkt

When STAUD’S puts out an invitation for a tasting session on its pavilion, indulgence in good company is in store. This will be taking place on 26 November 2016, when STAUD’S will ring in Advent in culinary style in Brunnemarkt.

Before and after Christmas, STAUD’S opens its doors to its treasures a little longer:
5–30 December 2016: Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 13:00 / 14:00 – 18:00, Saturday: 08:00 – 13:00
8 December 2016 10:00 – 16:00
24 and 31 December 2016 08:00 – 13:00

After Christmas, the usual opening hours will apply. We look forward to seeing you!

STAUD’S AT THE INDULGENCE SUMMIT

This year’s Indulgence Summit on 29 November in Studio 44 was a party for connoisseurs, in which the Genuss Guide [“Indulgence Guide”] with which the focal points of Burgenland and fish were presented.

It was clear that STAUD’S would have a part to play in this. We presented our sweet specialities and pickled delicacies, which are largely grown and harvested in Burgenland. Needless to say, we are also represented in the Genuss Guide 2017 by our STAUD’S Pavillon.

Advent, advent, indulgence is on trend!

STAUD’S will spoil you for the second time with 24 selected specialities in a luxury Advent calendar to make sure that you have even more tranquil and enjoyable moments this Advent.

From jams to honey, through to wine jelly, a treat in a jar is concealed behind every door of the STAUD’S Advent calendar. This year’s design presents unique Viennese cultural monuments, ranging from the St. Stephen's Cathedral to the Vienna State Opera House.

This year, some of the sales proceeds will be going to the “Nikolauszug” project of the Samaritan Relief Organisation, so that children in need can also have an Advent weekend with Santa.  www.nikolauszug.at

MAXIMUM INDULGENCE.

A traditional Viennese breakfast is not complete without STAUD’S jam. Even better if you can indulge with a breathtaking view of the inner city. A fine selection of STAUD’S can now be enjoyed at the luxury hotel Sofitel Vienna Stephansdom, high above the Viennese roofs.

HONOUR TO WHOM HONOUR IS DUE.
GOLDEN MEDAL OF HONOUR FOR HANS STAUD

Since its foundation in 1971, the brand STAUD’S Wien has established itself as both an economic player and a cultural asset to the figurehead of the capital.

The decision regarding the awarding of the “Golden medal of honour for service to the province of Vienna” fell to economist Hans Staud in honour of the founder. The festive honouring by mayor and state governor Michael Häupl as well as the executive city councillor Renate Brauner took place at Vienna City Hall.

THE SMELL OF APRICOTS IN THE AIR

Soon the Hubergasse in Vienna-Ottakring will smell of fruity apricots again when the fresh apricots are refined into the finest jams at Staud’s. The bright orange fruit are now in high season:

They are carefully picked by hand and delivered to Vienna on the day of harvest for processing. Some of the apricots – they come from the best growing areas in Austria, such as Wachau, the Weinviertel region and the Mittelburgenland region – are frozen for production at a later point in time. However, other fruits are directly boiled down and the fine jams with their typical fruity character can be tasted soon afterwards.
